I Belize the hook is through the barb

As threatened, here come the fish pics. Enjoy, Coco.

Below, evidence from recent junket to Belize, specifically, a six man tactical strike to the Belize River Lodge, conveniently located two minutes from the airport in Belize City. The run of show is nuts, we left TX at 7AM, were fishing by noon thirty.

Despite arriving with $13,000 in mono-filament alone, we did not catch our collective weight in fish as hoped. High winds and too much Orange Fanta conspired for a challenging 4 days. Challenging like get out and push the boat you gringos, challenging.

Great company and a great spot though, expect to return and claim the Mayan title, eventually.

Such high hopes - moments after losing a comrade to a cavity search

McKenna's first fish - which I was not allowed to model with, a CUDA

Mom, a giant tarpon

Looks fishy - Fast Eddie Parsons, stripping

We roomed on Long Cay, about an hour run by boat from the River Lodge. The generator operator finds this stuff and hangs it in warning to discourage diesel thieves.

Six Beds, Sixty beers

High hopes this morning. An hour later, the only meat hooked was a McKenna

Angels

We were spared the experience, but boat two made the city short cut under some duress - the locals chuck rocks at you when you get too close to the banks
