Trick or Treat!

Our little Lady Bug made an appearance at the People Magazine Halloween Party yesterday. She passed out before the party was over. Its exhausting being that cute. We have another party tonight, so she gets to dress up again. She actually seemed to enjoy it.
She sat up unassisted for the first time yesterday. She uses her hands to prop up, but still impressive. I did not see that coming.
I'm back to work on Monday and can't imagine not spending my days with her. The last 4 1/2 months have been so special- and have gone way too fast. Wish me luck getting through next week.

Back-n-Barack

Massive weekend. Caught up with all sorts of folks, ate well, got to hang with handsome Troy Hendrick, rare treat. Took a lot of pictures. Milk Gnome is loving it, 25" and 12 pt. something pounds and ounces now.

More maneuvers that have no precedent.

Big win for the Wahoos this weekend. Jane a huge supporter of anything HD. Praying for a first down.

Amos and Troy came over on Saturday for a visit. Started in the living room, ended at the beerhall. Fancy pizzas somewhere between.

Eyes on my pizza.

Saturday morning warm-up. Nude as the news.

Sunday was the Baracktoberfest at 24 Powers, multo hilarity. All the kids out, beautiful weather, super good times. Hosts took excellent care of everyone, huge thanks. Jane's outfit was determined weeks ago, I think. Knee weakening cuteness.

The Chamberlains....

Action from the backyard.

After the kids went to bed, things got a little sloppy.

We came home, eyebrows smelled like sausages. Pretty great seeing everyone out, got the Monday blues.

Mom goes back to work next week, yaos!

Big Plans - Little Engine

Threw out my gold track pants today. Heart breaker. Eliminates me possibly wearing them with guests in the house, always a danger. Dad needs flattering leisure wear, like his ladies.

The Milk Fairy has picked up all her dad's bad habits. She's a varsity lounger, yarn spinner, late sleeper, pants splitter. Talked my ear off today - uses her hands to enunciate her positions. Possibly moments from crawling now, though her Allosaurus arms are failing her. The rear package is ready.

Polka series from Saturday. Resolves with Beer Goggling.

New outfits coming out of the woodwork. She's growing into her closet. Cold weather also means ensemble pieces, makes changing blow out kits very difficlut for dad.

Took the girls to the city for Vietnamese sandwiches, Elizabeth Peyton and Adrienne's pizza today. Jane lukewarm on modern art, hot on anything involving sausage.

Bed time tonight.

Well, Halloween is happening. A little early practice.

New Wet Kojak

Jane is fired up for the debate tonight, good thing, since she's a participant:

Resemblance to the senator from AZ is uncanny. Here she is, having her constitutional:

Family photo courtesy of ace baby sitter and country crooner, Lissy Beaver. We were lucky to have Lissy for a piece of the weekend, mom and I managed a date-like situation on Friday, gin gin mules were had, meatballs made.

The bug has learned a few new tricks, this one is the toes to nose.

Finally, caught up with the Keenes. Flora and Minnie....

Mom goes back to work soon, nanny selection process well underway. Everyone's a little emotional about the prospect.

On a positive note, I have secured a ninja suit for the bug, for Halloween. Suspect the grandmas have a strong opinion here.
