the klambake

Worked out the T-day menu over the weekend, we're hosting at the firehouse. Got both sets of grandparents ascending on Wednesday, should be mammoth. Putting everyone to work, predict a an 8PM table time, about average for a typical McKenna family gathering. Could all be pickled by the time the bird's carved. Expect troves of pictorial evidence to follow.

The above is from Friday night, Barbecue is a Noun, screening at the Tribeca Grand. Hilarious. That's the only picture I snapped, which ain't much, but does indicate the level of toxicity of your cameraman. I get nervous when we screen, usually because I'm terrified the projection will crap out, which it did, finally. Thank heavens Hawes knows his way around a control room. I finished two Newcastles in the four minutes we were down.

Good crowd out. It had been a while since I'd seen it, about half of the stars have either passed or been incarcerated. Assuming you're reading this, interested in the film, and are not a grandmother to Jane, I have dvds for sale. Just drop the Klam a note.

Mom and I took Jane to a Christening last weekend. Annah and McG had their first assistant made official. Jane did pretty good, made it about 30 minutes. Loved the organ. We may have to look into this kind of thing real soon.

Toby made pork shoulders on Sunday. I always say this, but these were totally divine. The whole spread was genius. Lucy, Porter and Gigi logged some baby time, much to look forward to in the months ahead obviously.

My birthday is around the corner, got a new job, saw Tropic Thunder, it's been a solid November.
