Houston, we have a goblin

40,000 nerds have descended on the ATX. We got out of dodge. These totems were placed near the exit for safe driving. Destination: Houston. Home of the Rockets, rockets and rocket scientists.

Poop for weather. Car smelled like beef fat and soggy hamburger buns.

First stop, Revival Market. Everyone was anxious to stretch their legs and stomach walls.

Museum of Fine Arts. Photography, not permitted.

Overnight at the Hotel Icon. They upgraded us, for some random reason, put the bath right in the middle of the living room.

Dinner at Hunyh, pretty stellar Vietnamese.

Menil Museum and Rothko Chapel. We don't get the Chapel. Probably because it's actually a Chapel.

Slept all the way there, and all the way back.

Breakfast at Pondicherry. The world's largest chocolate brioche. This was, in Jane's words, "better than Star Wars".
